IN ALL CASES CONSULT A DOCTOR!
  • INHALATION
    		• Convulsions. Dizziness. Sweating. Laboured breathing. Nausea. Unconsciousness. Pupillary constriction, muscle cramp, excessive salivation.
    		Ventilation, local exhaust, or breathing protection.
    		Fresh air, rest. Artificial respiration if indicated. Refer for medical attention.
  • SKIN
    		• MAY BE ABSORBED! Redness. Pain (further see Inhalation).
    		Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
    		Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. Refer for medical attention.
  • EYES

    		• Face shield, or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.
    		First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
  • INGESTION
    		• Abdominal cramps. Diarrhoea Vomiting (further see Inhalation).
    		Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating.
    		Rinse mouth. Induce vomiting (ONLY IN CONSCIOUS PERSONS!). Refer for medical attention.
    SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
    Ventilation. Collect leaking and spilled liquid in sealable containers as far as possible. Absorb remaining liquid in sand or inert absorbent and remove to safe place. Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment (extra personal protection: chemical protection suit including self-contained breathing apparatus).
    		Provision to contain effluent from fire extinguishing. Separated from food and feedstuffs. See Chemical Dangers. Well closed. Keep in a well-ventilated room.
    		Do not transport with food and feedstuffs.

    PHYSICAL STATE; APPEARANCE:
     COLOURLESS TO AMBER LIQUID , WITH CHARACTERISTIC ODOUR.

    PHYSICAL DANGERS:

    CHEMICAL DANGERS:
     The substance decomposes on burning producing toxic fumes including phosphorous oxides, phosgene and chlorine fumes. Attacks metal, plastic and rubber.

    OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS (OELs):
     TLV (as TWA): 0.1 ppm; 0.90 mg/m3 A4, (Skin) (ACGIH 1997).


    		ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
     The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation, through the skin and by ingestion.

    INHALATION RISK:
     A harmful contamination of the air will not or will only very slowly be reached on evaporation of this substance at 20░C; on spraying or dispersing, however, much faster.

    EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
     The substance irritates the skin. The substance may cause effects on the central nervous system. Cholinesterase inhibitor. Exposure above the OEL may result in death. The effects may be delayed. Medical observation is indicated.

    EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
     Repeated or prolonged contact with skin may cause dermatitis. Repeated or prolonged contact may cause skin sensitization. Cholinesterase inhibitor; cumulative effect is possible: see acute hazards/symptoms. This substance is possibly carcinogenic to humans.

Specific treatment is necessary in case of poisoning with this substance; the appropriate means with instructions must be available. Carrier solvents used in commercial formulations may change physical and toxicological properties. Do NOT take working clothes home. Do NOT use in the vicinity of a fire or a hot surface, or during welding. Dedevap, Nogas, Nuvan,,Phosvit, Vapona, Bay19149 are trade names.
